Forum Shops @ Caesars Palace

More than just a collection of upscale boutiques ? the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace are a tourist attraction all by themselves. Excess is the name of the game in a city as gleefully and unapologetically superficial as Las Vegas, and few places offer such a wide range of places to blow your winnings as the numerous stores found amidst a Caesars Palace shopping spree. There is just about every style of clothing imaginable available here? from large retail chains you'd find in any mall to the highly specialized luxury boutiques that make browsing along the Caesars Forum shops one of the main tourist draws along the Las Vegas strip. But this no ordinary string of shops ? that would be unremarkable for a city with the reputation Vegas has. The hallways seem to stretch out forever, an interminable display of the over-arcing draw of consumerism. Caesars Forum shops are spread out beneath a high vaulted ceiling painted to appear like the sky. A nice enough effect which is further augmented by the lighting ? it is designed to condense the sky's changes throughout an entire day into a mere hour. The streets (such as they are) are lined with replicas of Roman architecture ? from prancing fawns to giant Roman Gods in the numerous fountains you'll find amongst the forum shops at Caesars. A few of the statues even talk and move around. It helps that the forum shops cater to the high-class and high-rollers that make their way to Vegas ? being so close to top flight hotels such as The Bellagio or The Mirage certainly doesn't hurt the businesses found in Caesars Las Vegas.

Fashion Show Mall

Sometimes mannequin displays just aren't enough. That's why at the Fashion Show mall, shoppers can catch glamorous live fashion shows every weekend. Models wear clothes that are immediately available for purchase. "While our weekly runway shows are typical of what might [be seen] at New York fashion week, the fashions on display feature styles that reflect the current season," explained Jim McMichael, senior marketing manager for the Fashion Show mall. The mall's multimillion dollar event area features an 80-foot retractable runway, the only one in the world. "The sight of watching the stage and runway magically rise out of the floor is truly a one of-a-kind experience," said McMichael. "What better way to enhance a visitor's shopping experience than to actually bring our fashions to life?" Models strut the runway in apparel from bebe, Everything But Water and Macy's, to name a few. But sometimes, the fashion shows feature themes that are out of the ordinary. "We just did a fabulous show commemorating Barbie's 50th anniversary show," said Olwen Zarlengo, in-house stylist for Fashion Show mall. "It was a collective show that hit across Barbie's signature looks throughout the ages. We even included a Bob Mackie Vegas showgirl with a feather headdress and a shirtless sailor Ken.

Town Square

Featuring stunning architecture, pleasant walkways and a village-like atmosphere, Town Square is not like any other shopping center in Las Vegas. Once you enter this facility, it actually feels like you're in the heart of a historic metropolitan city. But unlike major cities, you won?t have to worry about confusing one-way streets, traffic, difficult parking or costly meters. With 5,800 parking spaces available, guests can actually choose from three different parking garages or sidewalk parking. The 1.5-million-square-foot facility is located on the south end of the Strip, just past Mandalay Bay and Luxor. Featuring 70 different facades, the overall theme at Town Square portrays a city that has aged over time. Architects and designers traveled across the globe to get ideas for these buildings. The result? Colorful, Mediterranean, Spanish and Colonial-style facades along with antique street poles as accents. The 117-acre Town Square not only offers an eclectic mix retail shops and a variety restaurants, but an 18-screen movie theater, a children?s park and a picnic area as well. Even though the space is large, shoppers don't have to worry about excessive walking. Town Square created specific sections suited for a specific shopper's taste. For instance, one particular area of the property features children's clothing stores and accessories. Stores catering to young adults include Abercrombie and Fitch, Aeropostale and Hollister. Visitors can easily pop in and out of these stores without having to travel across the entire center. Other popular shops include Metropark, Aldo, Banana Republic, Sephora, MAC, Bath & Body Works, Steve Madden, Victoria's Secret and the edgy, high-class furniture store, Robb & Stucky. In addition, you'll find establishments typically not found in shopping mall settings, such as Borders and Whole Foods.
